Windows

As a bespoke manufacturer, all our windows are tailored to fit perfectly. Each window is manufactured to the required size using computer aided technology, thus ensuring a perfect fit.

Using mainly utile and sapele hardwoods, we create traditional-looking windows with modern functionality. We also manufacture a storm proof, wraparound system - tried and tested over many years in all weather conditions.

The thermal characteristics of our energy efficient double glazing units will keep your rooms warm and cosy; and self cleaning glass, solar control and acoustic (laminate) glass is also an option.

We often liaise with conservation and listed building personnel, and we are a registered member of FENSA.

Casement Windows

Our storm-proof casement windows are manufactured to meet stringent specifications and are designed to withstand severe weather conditions. Only the highest quality ancillaries and components are selected from long established suppliers.

The craftsmanship and experience that goes into the creation of our windows gives a beautiful and long lasting finish which needs very little attention to keep it looking fresh and ‘as new’.

Full double glazing, weather sealing and the natural insulating properties of wood provide a combination other window materials find difficult to match or exceed.

Bay/ Bow Windows

We can provide square or angled bay windows, with or without cottage bar features. Corner or bay posts can be fluted to add a more decorative feel.

Sliding vertical sash windows can be accommodated within the construction, along with many other casement-style window designs.

Our installation team is highly skilled in all aspects of properly fitting these high specification timber windows and are also quite used to installing the internal trims and architraves often found in bay, bow and sliding sash window installations.

Sash Windows.jpg

Vertical Sliding Box Sash Windows

We create this style of window using either spiral spring balances or the traditional pulleys and weights method. There is no timber-to-timber to rub together in our constructions and a variety of options exist to overcome a myriad of site conditions.

Sash horns and cottage bar features are possible and double glazing is standard at 24mm. Various sash fasteners and colours are possible.

Our general approach is to create sash windows with a traditional look yet incorporate modern advances to improve on weather-proofing, security and ease of operation.

Vertical sliding box sash windows are sometimes not always as a 50/50 split and we are able to accommodate different layouts and builds.

Flush Fit Heritage Windows.jpg

Flush Fit/ Heritage Windows

For listed buildings or those in a conservation area, you may want to consider flush fit or ‘heritage’ timber windows. Basically this means that the main feature of the window provides for the sashes (or dummy sashes) to be set into the frame and therefore the face of the frame and sash are ‘flush’.

Where listed building status demands a flush fit style of window, we may have to fit single glazing, or narrow or pencil beads to copy the original features or, where permitted by the conservation officers, heritage ‘slim’ profile double glazing.
